The Hornell/Bath Area JSEC, in conjunction with CSS Workforce NY, NYS Department of Labor, WETM TV, and Steuben County DSS are pleased to sponsor an Employment, Services, and Educational event.

We invite the public to participate and take advantage of the networking opportunity with community service agencies and employers.

Employers and service agencies are encouraged to participate. We expect a large number of prospective employees, students, and those seeking community services. Registration is free.

New and Exciting Virtual Job Fair
As an added bonus to Employers who wish to participate, the 2009 Career & Services Expo event will be a kick off for a new and exciting "Virtual Job Fair". From 7/15/09-7/29/09 there will be ongoing media support from WETM TV. For employers who wihs to participate, you will have the opportunity of posting your openings, recruitment videos, audio, and other media to the internet based event. The end result will be that you could electronically receive resumes from qualified individuals to fill your employment needs. Again, this will be presented, packaged and supported by WETM TV media campaign driving individuals looking for work to the website for a period of 2-weeks following the kickoff at the Career and Services Expo.
ARRA Youth Services RFP
The Chemung Schuyler Steuben Workforce New York Board of Directors, designated as the Administrative Entity and Grant Recipient for the Workforce Investment Act of 1998, is requesting proposals for implementing American Recovery & Reinvestment Act Youth Services in Chemung, Schuyler & Steuben Counties only.

Request for Proposal packets are available beginning 6/22/09 by clicking here. Completed proposals must be received by the Chemung Schuyler Steuben Workforce New York Office prior to 12:00 noon on 7/3/09. Submit the completed proposal original and four (4) copies. Contracts awarded will begin 8/1/09.

Round 2 - STNY 13-N

The Chemung-Schuyler-Steuben Workforce New York (CSSWFNY) on behalf of the Southern Tier of New York 13N (STNY 13N) Partnership, is requesting proposals for implementing Round 2 of the STNY-13N Regional Talent Pipeline Development across the Southern Tier of New York State.

The purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to solicit initiatives that seek to increase the region’s competitive strength and advantage by improving the supply and quality of the region’s talent pipeline for the advanced manufacturing sector through transformation strategies developed by the Southern Tier of New York 13N Partnership. The STNY 13N Region consists of Chautauqua, Cattaraugus, Allegany, Steuben, Schuyler, Chemung, Tompkins, Tioga, Broome, Chenango, Delaware and Otsego Counties.

Completed proposals must be received by the Chemung Schuyler Steuben Workforce New York Office prior to 4:00 p.m. on July 3, 2009. Contracts awarded will begin July 15, 2009 and run through October 31, 2009.
